The Who
RAPT was founded by Robbie Forrest — a hands-on renovation specialist with a background in both design and practical construction.
What began as a one-man restoration outfit has grown into a tightly run team delivering full-scale refurbishments across Edinburgh & beyond. Our focus is on modernising period properties with care, precision, and character — and a commitment to doing things properly.
The Why
After close to a decade in Trade as a Specialist Contractor, Robbie repeatedly noticed a gap between the Main Contractors, Architects, Trades and Clients wherein mistakes were being made and money was being lost. Everyone was a specialist in their own field and trying to realise the clients vision in their own, separate way.
The What
It was out of this disconnect that RAPT Projects was born. Robbie has worked hands on on the ground with Trades & Main Contractors for years, is educated within the Academic Design world and immersed in the Interior Design field, with a thorough knowledge of Building regulation - A bridge between each field, able to advocate for the needs of the client.
